What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Professionally greet and receive patients calling into the clinic, managing appointment processing and eligibility verification
- Perform administrative procedures and process paperwork regarding insurance and patient documentation
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using various electronic health record systems
- Assist patients with unscheduled examinations and data intake procedures
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with clinic policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certificate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces
- Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration by the American Medical Technologists
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinic standard operating procedures
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for scheduling and documentation
