What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately post medical charges received through various methods following correct coding guidelines
- Review encounter tracking to ensure all billing is captured
- Communicate effectively with site managers to gather necessary billing information
- Resolve billing issues through effective communication with physicians
- Maintain compliance with coding practices and ensure timely billing processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- At least five (5) years of Medical Billing and insurance claim filing experience
- Familiarity with medical billing software
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Coding Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
