What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide home visits to families of young children with vision impairments
- Develop curriculum tailored to the unique learning needs of each child
- Conduct developmental and functional vision assessments
- Participate in the development of each child's Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Maintain client case files and database records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- B.A., B.S. degree required or M.A. degree in related field
- Experience working with children
- Professional preparation in education of children with vision impairments
- Experience working in multi-cultural situations
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Teaching credential in Vision Impairment, Orientation & Mobility, Early Childhood Special Education, and/or a Certificate in Early Childhood Education
