- Translating schools' accounting requirements into correct Clarity configuration, partnering with implementation on complex or non-standard setups.
- Reviewing and validating school account configurations in Clarity, identifying setup errors and edge cases before they cause downstream problems.
- Advising schools on the correct accounting treatment for their specific situation and, when needed, helping them recognize when their current approach is wrong.
- Supporting monthly account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies for school clients.
- Assisting school clients with audit preparation.
- Analyzing client account mapping and identifying opportunities for improvement in accordance with best practices.
- Serving as the accounting subject-matter expert and escalation point for implementation and client success teams.
- Diagnosing whether recurring issues are a configuration gap, a training gap, or a product gap, and feeding that back to the product team.
- Building the playbooks, documentation, and repeatable processes that let us scale this function - including identifying what should be handled by CSMs.
- Attending regular team/company meetings.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- A current CPA license in good standing is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting services, or a related accounting profession.
- Experience working in software systems that act as a subsidiary ledger for organizations (ideally a billing system).
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Comfortable explaining accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
- Sound judgment about when to advise, when to escalate, and when to push back on a school's approach.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar financial systems.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Client Experience, you will help schools maintain accurate financial records and successfully manage their accounting workflows using Clarity software.
