What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expertise in coding performance and best practices to enhance client experience
- Analyze data to develop high-volume items that increase return on investment for clients
- Lead client calls to offer consultation and optimization recommendations for coding solutions
- Collaborate with various teams including support, engineering, and client engagement
- Create presentation content for internal and external communications, including webinars and industry articles
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university, or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Health Information Management
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician/Administrator (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Professional (CPC)
- Four (4) years of applicable hospital coding experience
- Excellent knowledge of disease and procedure classification systems and coding guidelines
- Strong database computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology and revenue-based regulatory requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Accreditation as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), BSIT, BSN, or RN
- Outpatient Facility Coding experience
- Knowledge of Evaluation and Management coding and professional billing
- Experience in multi-specialty EM Coding, Radiology Coding, Surgery Coding, Cardiology Coding, or Pathology Coding
