      COMPUTER NETWORK HELP DESK OPERATOR

      Salary: $40,101.98 - $55,305.54

      Job Summary:

      The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking motivated and experienced personnel to join our team. The Computer Network Help Desk Operator works under general supervision, provides technical support by applying a broad understanding of computer systems products and services. Maintains information technology service, functionality, and user satisfaction by answering questions, trouble shooting, and resolving more complex problems. Responsible for work of average difficulty. Performs related duties as assigned. This recruitment will be used to establish an eighteen (18) month eligibility list to fill our current and future vacancies.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Requires one (1) year of experience in a help desk or computer support role.

      Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
      Office setting.
      May be required to sit for extended periods of time.

      Additional Requirements:
      Holidays, weekends, irregular hours, and shift work may be required with possible extension of shift hours, at times with short notice.

      Must successfully complete the examination process.

      Pre-Employment Requirements:

      Applicants must complete an examination process. A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants. DPS supports a drug-free work environment through pre-employment drug testing.
      If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.       Retirement:

      State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
