Space has an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career level Control Account Manager (CAM) to work with the ORION program at Kennedy Space Center. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor building NASA's Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, the only spacecraft designed for long-duration, human-rated deep space exploration. Orion will transport humans to interplanetary destinations beyond low Earth orbit, such as the moon and eventually Mars, and return them safely back to Earth.
In this role you will perform CAM duties for the Orion Assembly, Test and Launch Operations (ATLO) Control Accounts (CA) and report to the ATLO Director. Your duties include supporting the planning, budgeting, and managing the cost & schedule performance for each assigned Control Account.
Summary of Key Duties: in this role, you will…
• Complete all Earned Value Management assigned duties, which include work authorization requests, estimate at complete reviews, schedule status, variance analysis and reporting, comprehensive estimates at complete, and proposal tasks
• Identify cost threats and opportunities, bringing them forward to ATLO IPT and Program for review and integration into the Risk database
• Conduct Monthly Staffing Reviews to maintain current month equivalent personnel and dollars; report on deviations from plan to both program and the IPT
• Coordinate with subcontract management

Although this position does support some teleworking, the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility Titusville, FL and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

#LockheedMartinSpacePME • Bachelors degree in a technical and/or business oriented discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Previous CAM (Control Account Manager) or project lead/management experience with Earned Value Management responsibilities. Skill proficiency to include:
Earned Value Process
Rolling Wave Planning
EXCEL (Pivot Tables)
• Demonstrated understanding of program planning and management
• Understanding of production processes and workflows • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance highly preferred
• Proficiency with Material Earned Value (MEV) system
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for changes/proposals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience
• Previous Proposal, BOE (Basis of Estimate) & Negotiations experience
• Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success
• Support internal and external customer audits
• Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships
