Job Description
- Req#: 1272
- Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule to provide rapid response and ensure continuous system uptime across all operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues involving PLCs, drives, robotics, and vision systems.
- Prepare, review, and organize all controls engineering turnover documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper storage.
- Proficient in Allen-Bradley control platforms, with expertise in PLC Programming and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Solid working knowledge of SCADA and HMI systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience in controls engineering or a related automation field
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering or 2 years' experience in related field
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 5 years' experience in controls engineering, MHE, and systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD electrical
- Strong electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills in industrial and automation environments
- Experience with SCADA systems, variable frequency drives, and ladder logic
- Solid understanding of safety and compliance standards, including OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Overview
A Controls Engineer/Specialist will provide essential technical support to both internal and external service teams, ensuring the reliable performance of automation systems in high-volume, fast-paced distribution and fulfillment environments. This support will be delivered both remotely and on-site as needed, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
