ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Staffs all open positions at the ADC's with quality and productive employees. Provides every employee with clear job responsibilities and expectations. Ensures all new employees are oriented and trained on all required work processes, procedures and expected standards of performance. Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of assigned team members by establishing performance standards and objectives and conducts regular performance appraisals. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time. 2. Manages the day-to-day operations of Attended Donation Centers. Understands the supply and demand cycle of donated goods. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 3. Oversees the proper handling of incoming donations. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 4. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of team members Schedules employees with a focus on controlling payroll costs and adequate coverage and customer service. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 5. Ensures employees are sufficiently skilled to deal effectively with donors. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time. 6. Manages, maintains, and improves donation acquisition/drive activities through non-traditional channels by networking, relationship management, and implementing new ideas to generate revenue. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time. 7. Manages store* s loss control by monitoring customers and employees and reporting suspicious activity to Loss Prevention. Ensures that items are not given away without authorization. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common COMMUNICATION SKILLS 8. Plans, coordinates, and participates in donation events. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 9. Interviews, hires, disciplines, and trains assigned department staff. Ensures proper staffing levels for all ADC locations. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 10. Advises and counsels subordinates, peers, and superiors on matters relating to work requirements and personnel problems in assigned departments. Prepares or approves all paperwork, to include but is not limited to timecards, time off requests, and performance evaluations. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 11. Attends regular management meetings and relates information back to staff. Acts as a positive role model for employees, trainees and customers in all respects of professional development. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 12. Ensures that the store opens on time and is properly staffed and operational during designated hours of operation. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 13. Participates in local community, civic, and business organizations and is active in the local Chamber of Commerce. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time. 14. Supplies necessary tools, training, materials, and motivation for increased efficiency in all departments. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 15. Follows, implements, and ensures adherence to all Goodwill policies, procedures, and programs. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 16. Complies with all OSHA and CARF requirements. This duty is performed daily. 17. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ANALYTICAL ABILITY / PROBLEM SOLVING DECISION MAKING Performs work operations which permit frequent opportunity for decision-making of minor importance and also frequent opportunity for decision-making of major importance, either of which would affect the work operations of large organizational component and the organization's clientele. Directed. Supervisory and/or professional skills using structured practices or policies and directed as to execution and review.
