      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct in-person and remote functional assessments to determine long-term care needs and WA Cares Fund eligibility
      - Develop and implement individualized service plans that guide long-term care supports
      - Educate individuals and families about long-term care options, program benefits, and limitations
      - Counsel families on caregiver requirements, payment options, and available resources
      - Ensure accurate, timely documentation and data entry while responding to administrative requests

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Twelve months of experience and completion of the agency's Social Service Specialist training program, or equivalent experience
      - A master's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or a related field, with one year of relevant experience
      - A bachelor's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or a related field, with two years of relevant experience
      - Six years of professional experience performing functions equivalent to a Social Service Specialist 1
      - Successful completion of formal training course within one year of appointment

      - Experience in long-term care services or social service programs
      - Knowledge of community resources and referral processes
      - Familiarity with documentation and data entry systems in social services
      - Skills in conducting assessments and developing service plans
