**What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
- Provide continuous monitoring of ECLS patients and circuits, managing a ratio of up to 1:3
- Collaborate with ECLS physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and adjust ECLS parameters based on physician orders and patient data
- Document patient information accurately in compliance with hospital guidelines
- Participate in training programs to develop skills in extracorporeal life support technology
**What is Required (Qualifications):**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree with 2-3 years of Critical Care or ECLS experience accepted
- Unencumbered professional license (RN, RRT, CCP) required
- Advanced credentials as applicable to the profession must be maintained
- AHA credentials in BLS must be current
- Experience with both pediatric and adult ECMO preferred
**How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
- Previous experience in ECMO support or related critical care settings
- Familiarity with multiple ECLS systems, such as Cardiohelp and CentriMag
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of coagulation processes and anticoagulation therapies
- Experience working with diverse patient demographics and treatment modalities
