What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned by the Emergency Department Resource Nurse
- Assist patients with undressing, securing their belongings, and ensuring a safe environment
- Conduct patient safety checks every 15 minutes and monitor for any changes in behavior or mood
- Notify nursing staff of any concerns regarding patient activity or requests for assistance
- Document patient behavior and maintain a clean and orderly work area
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Completion of de-escalation training
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
- Ability to remain calm under stress and assist in the physical restraint of disturbed patients
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in patient care, mental health, intellectual disabilities, teaching, child care, or public safety
