      The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Central Region is looking for an Environmental Impact Analyst 1/2/3 Flex (Cultural Resource Specialist) to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
      Base Salary Information:

      Environmental Impact Analyst 1 - $28.50 / Hourly OT Eligible

      Environmental Impact Analyst 2 - $32.78 / Hourly OT Eligible

      What You Will Be Doing:
      • As an Environmental Impact Analyst 1, you will enhance your skills in environmental research, project planning, and technical report writing. Key responsibilities involve preparing Categorical Exclusions, assisting with Environmental Assessments, supporting the NEPA Assignment Program, securing permits, conducting research and fieldwork, engaging with agencies, and analyzing impacts for geotechnical investigations.

      • As an Environmental Impact Analyst 2, you will be responsible for preparing environmental documents and securing permits for moderately complex projects, drafting Categorical Exclusions and Environmental Assessments, contributing to Environmental Impact Statements, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and the Engineering Manager, managing project timelines, conducting research for project development, and ensuring compliance during construction activities.

      • As an Environmental Impact Analyst 3, you will oversee environmental documentation and permits for complex projects, coordinate studies, conduct quality control reviews, review Environmental Impact Statements, develop project schedules, lead public meetings, manage permit acquisition, monitor compliance during construction, act in the absence of the Regional Environmental Manager, and contribute to policy reviews.

      This position must meet the Secretary of Interior's standard (48 FR 44738- 44739) of a Professionally Qualified Individual (PQI). The PQI aids in the assessment of project impacts to historic and cultural properties that are afforded protections via Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). Their work products are integral components to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process of analysis in developing project environmental documentation pursuant to NEPA. The position requires duties and tasks to be performed across all life stages of a project from conception through construction. To see requirements please refer to Appendix A to Part 61:
