What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain relationships with equine and mixed animal veterinarians, dealers, and distributor representatives
- Deliver educational training and presentations at customer sites and producer seminars
- Collaborate with equine distribution partners to drive sales results within the territory
- Manage a diverse customer base and execute territory planning through data analysis and strategic resource utilization
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the equine industry and Zoetis product portfolio
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of equine-related experience for the Equine Specialist role
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Animal Science or a related field
- 8 years of equine-related experience for the Senior Equine Specialist role
- Animal health experience and knowledge of the dairy and beef industries
- Experience working directly with animals, including husbandry and treatment support
