What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage environmental remediation projects, including plans, investigations, feasibility studies, removal actions, reports, and cost estimates
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Lead project teams by preparing detailed instructions for field staff and mid-level professionals
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, and project-specific requirements
- Work collaboratively with a diverse project team, including geologists, chemists, engineers, and risk assessors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Geophysics, Geology, Engineering, or a related science degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing projects
- Experience managing federal environmental remediation or munitions response projects under the Department of Defense
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to hazardous waste management
- Must be open to occasional travel as required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing complex remediation projects with excavation and multiple stakeholders
- Professional registration (e.g., PE, PG) and/or PMP certification
- Active OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and any applicable refreshers
