      Where you'll be working
      Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.       What you'll be doing
      The role is expected to support the Manager Management Accounting and Reporting and the broader Management Accounting team who provide:
      • Consolidation and reporting of the district’s financial performance.
      • The process for efficiency improvement programs and roadmaps for the District
      • The process of budgeting and forecasting for the District
      • Business partnering to the non-operations areas within the LHD
      This is a development role which will be required to provide reliable and accurate financial information and analysis to meet reporting requirements and to develop an in-depth knowledge of the budget and forecasting tools used within the District.

      Selection Criteria:

      1. Relevant tertiary qualification plus extensive work experience within the Finance team of medium to large organisation OR extensive relevant Health experience.
      2. Ability to communicate effectively and concisely to staff at various levels of an organisation.
      3. Self-motivated and eager to understand and learn the various components of Health Care and its financial structure and finance requirements.
      4. Aptitude to undertake analysis of complex financial and performance related data and to develop succinct interpretations of trends and issues arising from such an analysis.
      5. Experienced in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
      6. Experienced in time management and prioritisation skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
      7. Ability to work both within a team environment and independently and to take direction.
