      THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

      Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Central Region Finance team. The ideal candidate acts as a strategic partner to the divisions and contributes to key business decisions through analysis and collaboration. This position will manage the region's month-end closing and consolidation process; generate and interpret financial records and statements for management. Other key responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, supporting special projects, and maintaining strong controls.

      WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

      • Coordinate monthly closing process across the region.
      • Prepare consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow).
      • Analyze financial performance and prepare financial and operational projections.
      • Assess and forecast key performance indicators.
      • Prepare presentations for monthly management reviews.
      • Prepare fiscal year-end financial statements and corporate tax returns; assist audit activities.
      • Prepare external financial and bank compliance reports.
      • Coordinate the annual budgeting planning process for the company.
      • Research and provide opinions on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes.
      • Effectively analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail.
      • Participate in special projects as requested, such as implementation of the new ERP system.

      WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

      • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
      • Five to seven years of related experience in finance, accounting or audit.
      • Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles.
      • Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting is required.
      • Exercise sound judgment in performing subjective accounting analysis.
      • Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
      • Work independently and successfully as a team member.
      • Strong organizational and planning skills, and an ability to perform under pressure.
      • Able to communicate effectively, written and verbally
      • Strong work ethic.
      • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
