Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 shifts per week - Saturday and Sunday 12 hour shifts (6am - 6pm) , Friday plus one other weekday shift 8 hour shifts (8am - 4pm, 10am - 6pm or 2pm - 10pm)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Overseeing Health and Safety within the warehouse, to ensure a safe and compliant workplace

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Ideally will have experience managing people, in a warehouse / supply chain setting
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems - JDA / Blue Yonder experience would be advantageous
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• Experience of working or managing change and change processes
