      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform bookkeeping and basic accounting activities, including maintaining and reconciling accounts
      - Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with procedures
      - Prepare simple financial statements and assist in the preparation of complex financial statements
      - Gather payroll and expenditure data for budget preparation and ensure adherence to appropriation limits
      - Independently handle purchasing functions, including processing purchase orders and preparing contracts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of four (4) years of experience in complex clerical work in fiscal/administrative functions such as accounting or budget management
      - Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and basic governmental accounting principles
      - Proficiency in arithmetic computations and financial document auditing
      - Exceptional oral and written communication skills
      - Ability to utilize electronic data processing (EDP) systems for financial management

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and payment processing
      - Familiarity with Core-CT (PeopleSoft) and running EPM or STARS reports
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
      - Experience compiling and analyzing financial data for financial report preparation
