What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and articulate a strategic growth vision for GIS solutions aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Collaborate with the Business Development team and subject matter experts to create persuasive proposals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to K-12 clients, understanding their needs and positioning GIS solutions accordingly
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to contribute to a high-performance, mission-driven sales culture
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within K-12 education, GIS, or education technology
- Strong understanding of K-12 school district structures and decision-making cycles
- Proven ability to lead complex, consultative sales pursuits from opportunity identification through contract close
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with GIS solutions and their application within K-12 environments
- Existing relationships or contacts within K-12 school districts or education technology networks
- Experience supporting proposal development and finalist presentations
- Experience representing organizations at conferences, trade shows, or industry events
