Job Description

- Learn to complete test work to the project test plan.
- Learn to interpret test and experiment results, draw conclusions and suggest improvements.
- Learn how to document results and write test report.
- Assist with technical support for production, quality and ratio initiatives.
- Installation and setup of components and test equipment to complete experiments.
- Ensure test equipment inspected on a regular basis and calibrated in line with agreed schedules.
- Science or Engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Has a keen interest in product development with a drive to optimise and improve designs.
- Has a natural curiosity to understand product performance with an ability to interrogate the root causes behind observed technical behaviours.
- The ideal candidate has practical, hands-on experience installing, repairing and/or modifying mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Has the ability to balance between a highly focused and a flexible/agile approach to small and large tasks of varying levels of difficulty.
- Strong team worker with excellent work ethics and ability to communicate clearly across different hierarchies.
- Able to manage their time effectively.
- Interest and experience in using MATLAB/Simulink would be a bonus.
- Full UK driving licence.

Job Description
This role will enable, the successful graduate to offer a graduate the opportunity to develop their science and engineering skills within a team of experienced product development specialists. The advanced apprentice will learn how to carry out product development tasks such as performance testing, safety confirmations and product improvements using state-of-the-art test equipment under the guidance of specialists. The role offers an exciting insight in product development with the opportunity to work on upcoming technologies within a heating context. On completion of the apprenticeship, the successful applicant will be able to drive safe, efficient and agile product development in a complex, ever-changing environment. The successful candidate will have access to the Bosch training platform with a wide-ranging catalogue of training course to supplement the practical, experience-based part of this apprenticeship.

Expected Start Date: September 2024
Working Hours: 39 hours a week; Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 17:00 and Fri 08:00 – 16:00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Location: Worcester, occasional national and international business travel may be required.
