What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees regarding leave and disability events, managing 150 - 200 employee cases
- Initiate and respond to inquiries about leave and disability benefits and options
- Review medical documentation to ensure compliance with leave plans and regulations
- Facilitate effective communication regarding employee-impacting issues during leave events
- Collaborate with various departments and third-party administrators to ensure seamless case management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a case manager using case management systems
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or customer service in a leave and/or disability field
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of federal or state Leave and Disability regulations, specifically ADA/ADAAA and FMLA
- Experience working with confidential information
- Background in providing case management services for a large, multi-state employer
- Familiarity with guiding employees or managers on leave of absence, disability plans, and employee matters
