      Job Description

      Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan or Mountain View, California three times per week, at minimum.

      The Role:

      The Software and Services Engineering HR team is seeking a highly motivated change agent to join our team supporting leadership in our Digital Products Engineering team (DPE). The DPE organization builds experiences that make every customer interaction with GM feel effortless and delightful. As a member of the HR team, you will partner with DPE leaders to drive the execution of our HR agenda and priorities, in support of enabling the business to deliver its key priorities and results.

      What You'll Do:

      • Support employees and managers with questions, needs, and inquiries, providing world-class service and ensuring you guide our teams to the right resources to ensure a quality and timely solution
      • Promote positive employee relations through identifying trends, evaluating data and anecdotes, and leveraging employee feedback through engagement mechanisms-including partnership with business leaders on Workplace of Choice
      • Ensure data integrity in HRIS (Workday) systems, daily maintenance of HRIS systems and act as the main point of contact for HR access support in line with the HR operating model
      • Partner with the CoE’s to identify key changes/updates/trainings and support the facilitation of these rollouts through various forums.
      • Engage in talent management and career development activities-including the onboarding of new team members

      Additional Job Description

      Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline
      • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
      • 1+ years of experience in a field Human Resources position
      • Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, partnership and conflict resolution
      • Managerial courage demonstrated through effective, direct, and respectful communication
      • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained
      • Must be proficient in use of HR systems (Workday, Workforce360, Cognos)
      • Excellent computer skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office suite
      • Experience managing leaves of absence, including FMLA, Short term Disability, Long term Disability, International Assignments, compensation programs

      • Highly proficient in Workday
      • Master’s degree preferred
