- Reviews submitted candidate applications and resumes. Assesses if the candidate's work history and skillset are a proper match for the Golden1 job.
- Maintain strong relationships with candidate pools with the objective of creating viable pipelines of talent for current and future openings.
- Proactively contacts passive candidates via cold calling and persuades them to consider Golden1 opportunities.
- Promotes Golden1 job opportunities on social media.
- Researches industry labor and business trends for supported departments. Also, recruiting sites, job boards or organizations for potential candidates.
- Promptly schedules and facilitates intake meetings with leaders once job requisition submitted to curated screening questions to identify and present well vetted candidates.
- Phone screens selected candidates and determined if candidate will proceed in the next step of the recruitment process.
- Consistently follows up with candidates (internal and external) regarding applicant status and/or outcome.
- Ability to create presentation regarding strategy or hiring opportunities using data and market trend information and research.
- Influential with working through difficult situations. Questions or recommends changes to the status quo in supported departments.
- Initiates recruiting department process improvements and projects. Share best practices, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Mentors and champion change within the department and company.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.

- High volume recruiting.
- Typically assigned requisitions that have an abundance of qualified candidate applications.
- The majority of assigned requisitions are for Non-Manager (i.e., entry level and para-professional) roles.
- Assigned requisitions are commonly fillable in a short-term time period.
- Candidate offers typically involve little to no negotiation.
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to applicants, managers, and outside contacts, on the telephone and in person, to conduct interviews and orientation, prepare correspondence, and constructively follow up on inquiries relating to this area.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.
- INTERNAL: Hiring managers, Recruiters, HR Business Partners, Compensation team, Learning and Development.
- EXTERNAL: Temporary agencies, applicants, news media, applicant’s former employers, and technical training school instructors.
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.
- EXPERIENCE: Typically has at least 5+ years of experience in a recruiting role.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
- Strong oral and written skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint): Ability to map processes in Excel and to report analytics and data.
- Basic skills in Ceridian Dayforce: Ability to post jobs, update requisition and candidate statuses.
- Positive attitude as it relates to both sides of a job-seeking relationship. Overcomes challenges and frustrations as they search for employment.
- Ability to close candidates on job offers.
- Ability to multitask and work on several requisitions at a time.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for hiring of branch/back-office positions to ensure the highest quality and equality of staffing for The Golden 1 Credit Union. The ideal candidate possesses expertise encompassing professional networking and building pro-active internal/external industry relationships, developing competitive intelligence, use of on-line professional networking sites, internet research and cold calling.
