What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with city departments to enhance employee engagement and development initiatives
- Leverage HR analytics and technology to support data-driven decision-making processes
- Manage HRIS administration and optimize HR programs and processes
- Oversee risk and safety management efforts to promote a safe work environment
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for city employees
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional HR experience for Human Resources Analyst II or five (5) years for Senior Human Resources Analyst
- Valid California driver's license
- Relevant certifications such as PSHRA-CP, PSHRA-SCP, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are desirable
- Knowledge of public sector operations, including policies and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with HRIS systems such as NEOGOV, Trakstar, or UKG Ready
- Familiarity with benefits administration, disability, and leave management
- Previous experience in risk management and employee safety training
- Strong analytical skills and a people-first mindset
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
