      About This Position

      This is a work from home opportunity with some travel required for business reasons.

      Preferred Eastern Time Zone as it will be supporting our East Region Team.

      A minimum of 5 years significant employee relations required.

      The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a subject matter expert on human resources within their assigned region. They will lead, direct, and assist with employee relations and human resources matters, including investigations and conflict resolution. The HRBP will partner with field regional vice presidents and leadership teams to provide professional consultation and advice with an emphasis on driving employee engagement and business results.

      Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

      • Responsible for overseeing all general HR functions (employee relations, state and federal HR compliance, performance management, retention, team member development, etc.) for field site locations.
      • Investigate a high volume of Employee Relation cases, making sure all concerns are managed and solved in an appropriate and timely matter.
      • Provide consultation and advice to the regional leadership team to ensure employee relations activities are compliant with applicable federal, state, and locals laws.
      • Responsible for ensuring the implementation, and execution of HR programs/policies for the assigned Region.
      • Oversees employee corrective action meetings and employment separation discussions.
      • Analyze data and develop and execute effective action plans for short- and long-term goals.
      • Work with Training & Development to deliver learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
      • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
      • Conduct site visits to assigned locations, some in a correctional environment.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      What You'll Need

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related field required.
      • A minimum of five years of human resources employee relations experience required.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
      • Extensive knowledge of state and federal employment law. Proven track record advising business partners regarding compliance with state wage and hour, leave and anti-discrimination laws.
      • Experience delivering key metrics, high level of energy, commitment, optimism, and passion about the business and HR profession.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
      • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
      • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HR system.
      • PHR – preferred.
      • SHRM – preferred.
      • Work remotely from your home office.
      • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
