- Oversees open job requisitions and supports recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, managing job postings, coordinating with staffing agencies, and scheduling interviews.
- Prepares employment offers, conducts background checks, secures hiring approvals, and facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
- Manages vendor partnerships (e.g., staffing firms, occupational health providers), maintains service agreements, and reconciles invoices.
- Completes required government reporting such as EEO and affirmative action documentation.
- Collaborates with department leaders to update job descriptions and performance appraisal tools.
- Administers employee benefits programs and resolves related issues, including health and life insurance
- Implements and maintains HR policies and procedures; assists in updating the employee handbook.
- Responds to legal document requests such as subpoenas.
- Ensures compliance with labor law posting requirements.
- Administers leave of absence programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, personal leave, and workers’ compensation.
- Submits and manages workers’ compensation claims.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll and ensures accuracy.
- Advises managers on employee relations and performance management matters.
- Contributes to the development of departmental goals, initiatives, and systems.
- Acts as a backup to the Director of Human Resources.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts within the HR department.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Participates in special HR projects as assigned.
- Assists with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.

The HR Generalist contributes at a professional level across a variety of human resources functions, which may include: talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits coordination, leave administration, employee engagement, compensation support, organizational development, performance management, policy enforcement, HRIS maintenance, internal communications, training, EEO compliance, and affirmative action initiatives.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
