What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review completed loan applications and documentation to pre-qualify borrowers according to established guidelines
- Evaluate various income and asset documentation to determine borrower qualifications
- Communicate effectively with borrowers and third parties to gather necessary documentation for loan assessments
- Perform credit report analysis and maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers throughout the loan qualification process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter in the mortgage industry
- Proficiency in Encompass, AllRegs, Desktop Underwriter, Loan Product Advisor, and LoanBeam
- Strong knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with integrity in handling confidential information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- NMLS License under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008
- Familiarity with industry-standard income worksheets for self-employed applicants and wage earners
- Experience working with unique loan scenarios and applying lending guidelines effectively
