Job Description

- Contacting your assigned customer locations via phone and internet on a regular basis in order to continue to provide convenience of procurement through Staples
- Driving incremental sales growth
- Improving compliance by single sourcing through Staples
- Introducing new products
- Training and educating customers on program offerings and best practices that reduce the cost of delivering office products
- Establishing strong relationships with high potential customers via phone, video, and/or digital correspondence to drive incremental sales growth and customer retention
- Executing on short- and long-term strategic plans to grow sales, margin, and membership program sales within an assigned book of business
- Leveraging partnerships with various internal partners to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction. This includes, but is not limited to Category Sales Specialists, New Business Development, Outside Sales Teams, Sales Operations and Customer Service Teams
- Working effectively in conjunction with all Staples functional groups including Customer Setup, Pricing, Bid Support, E-Commerce, Customer Service, Fulfillment, Delivery, Operations and the multiple Lines of Business to properly coordinate Healthcare sales activities with operational best practices and Staples’ selling objectives.

- Knowledge of product, pricing, competition, and sales objectives
- Ability to sell company values and services, in addition to program features and benefits via phone and internet
- Adaptable to a fast-paced organization that changes to continuously improve the customer experience
- Ability to sell multiple buyer levels within small to mid-sized customers
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of successful sales, customer service, or sales support experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with business-to-business sales process
- Previous experience with virtual selling or relevant career experience or education background
- Prior management and prospecting experience
