      ABOUT iQ ACADEMY, LOS ANGELES AND THE INTERVENTION SPECIALIST TEACHER POSITION:

      iQ Academy, Los Angeles delivers online/virtual home based instruction to K-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. We use the K-12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction and you will teach via the Engageli platform. Teachers instruct students online daily both synchronously and asynchronously.

      The Intervention Specialist supports students in grades kindergarten through HS by providing targeted academic interventions, progress monitoring, and individualized support designed to improve student achievement. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and administrators to identify learning gaps, implement evidence-based instructional strategies, and ensure students receive additional academic support beyond core instruction necessary to succeed academically and socially.
      The ideal candidate is student-centered, data-driven, collaborative, and passionate about helping diverse learners achieve measurable growth. The subject matter will reflect both reading and mathematics.
      This position supports supplemental academic intervention services identified in the school's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and funded through LCFF Supplemental and Concentration (S&C) funding. Services are designed in response to the identified needs of low-income students, English learners, and foster youth and may be provided schoolwide to increase access to targeted intervention and
