      Description

      We are seeking a dedicated Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is crucial in supporting our organization's technological needs and enhancing user experience.

      Requirements

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Serve as the first point of contact for internal users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for various devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
      • Document and track user issues and solutions in a knowledge base for future reference.
      • Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up equipment and providing initial training on software and systems.
      • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues and ensure proper follow-through.
      • Provide training and support for standard software applications and tools.
      • Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with ordering and managing supplies.
      • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in IT support.
      Education and Experience:
      • Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
      • Strong understanding of operating systems and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, email clients).
      • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical users.
      • Strong focus on providing exceptional support and building positive relationships with end-users.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize issues in a fast-paced environment.
      • Work effectively within a team, collaborating with colleagues to resolve complex issues.
      • Meticulous documentation of issues and solutions to enhance the knowledge base and improve support processes.
      • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
      Physical Requirements:
      • Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
      • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
      • Ability to function in a work environment with moderate noise level from several sources creating constant activity.
      • Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
      • Ability to maintain an ergonomic workstation, including adjusting chair height, monitor position, and keyboard/mouse placement to promote proper posture and reduce strain.


      Salary Description

      Pay Range is $18-25/hr
