What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Walk customers through the problem-solving process and provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Record events and problems and their resolutions in logs, ensuring follow-up and updates on customer status
- Suggest possible improvements on procedures and maintain compliance with organizational policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with MS Active Directory and network cabling standards
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult situations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the implementation and/or use of ITIL and ITSM concepts
- Tech-savvy with a good understanding of office automation products and remote access applications
- Highly organized and resourceful, with the ability to maintain systems for leveraging knowledge
- Ability to train and explain technical concepts to others
- Experience working with sensitive and proprietary data while maintaining confidentiality
