      At Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB), we don't just provide water and electricity – we deliver essential services that are vital to the community. We are seeking a self-motivated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to end users related to computer systems, hardware, software, telephone, and video conferencing solutions. This is an important position that helps keep EWEB running.

      As an IT Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a high-performing team in a collaborative environment and will work closely with employees at all levels of the organization from the executive team to contractors. You will also have exposure to a wide variety of technology across the spectrum from hardware, software, storage, virtual environments, networking, communications, and remote working solutions.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Providing frontline Help Desk support to end users, including triage work via an intake Service Desk management system (Jira).
      • Configuring, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining enterprise workstations, laptops, tablets, smart phones, multifunctioning printers, and other peripheral devices.
      • Supporting, modifying, and configuring workstation operating systems and applications to obtain compatibility with peripheral hardware, troubleshoot application software, connections to the network, and network shares.
      • Participate in organization-wide projects and drive proactive maintenance focused on End-User Computers (EUC).

      • Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude; Ability to work with and assist a diverse organization with varying technical skills and in a variety of environments.
      • Familiarity and comfort with documenting processes and change management.
      • A passion for technology, problem solving, and assisting others.

      COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

      The starting annual salary for this position is $68,048.34 to $81,985.95, commensurate with knowledge, skills, education, and experience as it relates to the position.

      QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Two years of experience working in a computer technology environment; experience with workstations and end user application tools.
      • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems from an accredited college, which includes course work in computer concepts, technical writing, software tools, and workstation environment.

      Recommended Education, Experience, Training, & Certifications

      • One-year experience working in a service desk environment
