Ownership of the business relationship & performance for agreed partners.
Maintain sales performance in line with agreed targets
Manage discount plans and periodical promotional activity within owned accounts to maintain profit margin and develop sales in line with Vi’s annual budget objectives.
Build & maintain strong working relationships with Distributors, high profile Veterinary Groups, Key Accounts, leading orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeons (Key Opinion Leaders) in defined markets.
Take a data driven and analytical approach to developing your regions, markets and customers, supporting the commercial team and wider business functions with the collation of reports and insights.
Provide accurate monthly reports on sales, detailing increases and decreases in sales across accounts and product groups, to include rebate schemes and consignments as required by the business.
Provide professional representation of VI at Veterinary and Specialist conferences and training events as required.
Provide the NPD team and warehouse department with purchase forecasts.
Adhere to the Company’s Management Information processes, meeting deadlines for recording sales information.
Liaise with VI colleagues to support customers, enhance brand visibility and support technical queries
Further develop Vi’s brand in country where possible.
The role is client facing and daily contact with clients is key, therefore the ability to communicate effectively is essential.
Develop close working relationships with the Vi commercial team and external Covetrus contacts.
Conduct research regarding the markets and market opportunities and competitors.
Previous Animal Health / Veterinary sales experience an advantage
Experience of Managing Distributors, Ideally across multiple markets
Strong commercial awareness
University degree / Animal Health Qualification OR previous demonstratable sales success
Accuracy / attention to detail & IT literate
Good interpersonal / relationship management
Full Driving License
We’re seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to take ownership of key distributor relationships across multiple international markets, with a strong focus on the EU. This role is pivotal in driving growth through strategic logistics management, contract negotiations, and the development of new business opportunities. Acting as the primary point of contact for partners, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding Vi’s global footprint and ensuring sales and profit targets are not only met, but exceeded. With a blend of commercial insight and relationship-building, you’ll help shape the success of our international operations.
General Summary
Responsible for managing agreed 3rd party distributors across multiple international markets (predominantly EU). This includes, but is not limited to logistics management, contract negotiation, developing new business, and ensuring revenue / profit growth. The Account Manager is responsible for managing Vi business activities, relationships and revenue streams to ensure sales revenue and profit targets are achieved or exceeded.
