Job Description

- BS/BA degree required
- 8 -10 + years of sales experience in the consumer products industry
- Previous Sales Experience in the Dairy Category preferred
- Experience in fresh fluid milk sales a plus
- Experience in DSD a plus
- Strong customer/channel understanding
- Must have a proven track record of success growing sales and developing new customers
- Negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to influence
- Customer planning and management tools and processes
- The ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to travel, as necessary, within the territory
- Create Demand.
- Existing and new business
- Portfolio growth
- Develop and manage customer relationships at all levels.
- Margin maintenance including price changes, promotions management, and SKU management.
- Works in concert with the national sales team to drive core initiatives.
- Provide management with summarized financial data, goals, customer reporting, benchmarks, channel trends, analysis and opportunities.

Overview
The Key Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of the daily sales function relative to specific chains, accounts or customers and may be responsible for directing support staff where required.
The role is responsible for key relationships and strategic accounts within the assigned market area. The position is also responsible for communicating and working with sales staff and for driving key initiatives, goals, and expectations of the sales management team.
