What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with data science leadership and business partners to develop optimization and machine learning models
- Construct production-ready, scalable optimization and simulation models for real-time insights
- Design and develop a modeling framework for solving complex supply chain problems
- Explain data-driven recommendations and insights to cross-functional teams
- Monitor and improve model performance metrics with feedback from business partners
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of relevant data science experience, with at least 4 years in optimization
- Bachelor's Degree in quantitative fields such as operations research, statistics, or industrial engineering
- High proficiency in Python programming for developing optimization models
- Hands-on experience with IP/MIP models and knowledge of supporting algorithms
- Strong ability to work with large data sets and write complex SQL queries
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in quantitative fields or computer science with relevant work experience in supply chain or data science
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with building optimization models using commercial solver engines like Gurobi on a cloud stack
