Troubleshoot CSI issues/questions for student staff

Assist in the interviewing and training of new student staff

Continually monitor all facility activity and program areas

Document participation count for each activity area

Setup for rentals and special events as needed

Ensure the cash handling practices are accurate

Completion of all Incident and Accident reports as necessary

Other Duties as assigned

Oversee daily facility inspections and maintenance checks across aquatic and athletic spaces.

Coordinate and perform basic repairs, routine upkeep, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, mechanical systems, and fixtures.

Ensure all building systems (HVAC, lighting, water, filtration) are functioning properly and respond to operational emergencies as needed.

Collaborate with custodial teams to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Assist with setup and breakdown for events including swim meets, track meets, community events, and rentals.

Ensure that event spaces are clean, safe, and properly configured before and after use.

Work with the Operations and Guest Services team to coordinate facility logistics and vendor access.

Lead a team of part-time facility attendants, custodians, and support staff during shifts.

Provide training on equipment use, safety procedures, and facility protocols.

Assign daily tasks and ensure timely completion of operations checklists.

Monitor adherence to all facility safety standards, including pool deck safety and equipment storage.

Ensure proper signage, lighting, and access control across the facility.
-
Respond to incidents and complete reports in coordination with supervisory staff.
-
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, and order replacements as needed.

Has a thorough knowledge of Recreation Services’ practices and policies preferred
-
Must be certified in as a CPR/ First Aid/AED Professional Rescuer
-
Basic computer application competency
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in maintenance, facilities, or mechanical systems preferred.

3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, operations, or a related field.
-
Working knowledge of building systems, pool operations, and basic electrical/plumbing repair a plus.
-
Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-
Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and events.

The Lead Facility Manager is responsible for the daily operational readiness and physical upkeep of Mylan Park’s athletic and aquatic facilities, including the Aquatic Center and Track & Field Complex. This role ensures that all building systems, equipment, and event spaces are safe, clean, and functioning efficiently. The Lead Facility Manager will coordinate maintenance tasks, supervise facility operations staff, assist with event setups and breakdowns, and serve as a critical point of contact during operational hours.
