What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the Insurance Verification Specialist team by providing daily guidance, training, and quality assurance to meet performance metrics
- Develop collaborative relationships with insurance companies to verify benefits and eligibility
- Act as a subject-matter expert for insurance benefits and eligibility issues
- Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements for workflow efficiency
- Monitor team performance against quality standards and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of healthcare experience with billing, insurance verification, or utilization management
- 2+ years of leading a team or relevant mentorship experience
- High proficiency in EMR/billing systems with a focus on data accuracy
- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements and ability to protect confidential information
- Strong understanding of authorizations and denial prevention strategies

- Experience in behavioral health insurance verification and benefits management
