What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead a team of Intellectual Property Paralegals and Docketing Specialists, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration
- Provide intellectual property counseling, strategic analysis, and portfolio management services
- Maintain and manage the Institute's intellectual property assets within electronic databases and physical documentation
- Oversee the preparation and execution of formal documents related to intellectual property matters
- Recruit, train, and supervise new IP support staff members and interns
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in intellectual property, preferably in a law firm or technology-focused business environment
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. and international patent/trademark prosecution procedures and related policies
- Proficiency in computer applications related to intellectual property, including USPTO portal filings and database software
- Proven ability to manage and protect highly confidential and sensitive information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior supervisory experience in an intellectual property setting
- Experience with intellectual property database software such as Inteum Minuet™, CPI, and LEDES™
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and research skills
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism
