What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare drafts of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Attend hearings and assist in the preparation of findings of fact and conclusions of law
- Conduct legal research and request documents from regulatory agencies and courts
- Support attorneys in enforcing various insurance and securities laws
- Manage administrative controls for internal and external enforcement requests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum one year of full-time administrative support or technical support experience
- Five years of education and/or full-time experience, with 30 semester hours of college coursework equaling one year of experience
- Continuous experience in the state executive branch with at least 12 months as an Administrative Assistant 1
- Experience or education as a paralegal or legal assistant
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional experience in legal assistance or paralegal work
- Familiarity with insurance and securities laws
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
