- Assures quality of care by meeting resident needs as outlined in the individual care plan.
- Communicates and works professionally with the interdisciplinary team.
- Supports residents in doing as much for self as possible, promoting positive leisure time.
- Actively engages residents by initiating conversation and activities with them.
- Communicates resident’s well-being and needs by taking an active role in plan of care meetings.
- Reports concerns or physical, psychological and social changes to the charge nurse or nurse supervisor and assisting in problem solving.
- Maintains a clean working environment by keeping residents’ living areas neat and orderly, completing job lists that are separate from resident assignment.
- Contributes to team effort by voluntarily helping others to accomplish department and community goals in caring positive manner.
- Cross-trains in appropriate nursing settings to maintain staff and resident scheduling needs.
- Takes responsibility for own actions by using time efficiently to deliver high quality service to residents and demonstrate commitment to co-workers.
- Provides hands-on care to residents as needed and appropriate, assisting with meals and answering call lights in a timely manner.
