Hybrid WorkingOnsite role:
Colleagues who perform ‘onsite’ roles will spend four or five days a week working onsite, depending on the requirements of their role and business area. Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.
Introduction:The candidate would be based out of Mumbai and working with the London and Paris rates trading team. The team makes markets in EUR & GBP swaps, inflation swaps, and Government & Inflation linked bonds. The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in mathematics or financial engineering. The role offers great opportunity to the candidate’s their knowledge of and exposure to interest rate, bond, spread metrics such as ASW, Box Spreads, and derivative products such as Swaps, FRAs and Bond Options. The candidate will be exposed to client flow and macro trades on a daily basis which gives the candidate a visibility on the overall macro outlook.
The broad areas would be managing end-to-end EGB bond auctions including sales previews, trend analysis, estimating overbidding versus competitors and further building tools/insights that help the desk in optimizing P/L generation and aid design of trading strategies. They will also create customize reports on Trading metrics like risk taking, balance sheet limits, PnL reports and wider business metrics like capital efficiency, franchise performance which will help in understanding business / strategy performance and support design and fine tuning of strategies.
What will you be doing?o Analysing and Explaining Risks and P&L of the trading books.
o Utilizing data analysis techniques to analyse various strategies and their PnL impact.
o Conducting Analysis for Trading desk related to risk taking, turnover, market making efficiency etc.
o Conducting Analysis for Trading desk related to capital efficiency, client impact, hit ratios etc.
o Optimizing and customizing traders’ price sheet upon request.
o Ad-hoc data analysis project that deliver actionable insights to the desk.
What we’re looking for:o Good understanding of interest rate products and financial markets including but not limited to swaps & FRAs
o In depth knowledge in interest rate pricing
o Strong Statistical, Time series and Data Analysis Skills
o Good coding skills
o Excellent communication skills (oral/written)Skills that will help you in the role:
o Strong understanding of interest rate derivative products
