      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      Responsibilities:

      • Operations Management: Oversee and manage daily payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees (hourly, salary, bonuses, commissions, etc.).
      • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws, and validate all payroll tax returns and other required reports are filed accurately and timely (e.g., W-2s, 1099s).
      • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train payroll and incentive teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
      • Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct regular internal audits of payroll records and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly.
      • Issue Resolution & Customer Service: Serve as one of the primary points of contact for complex payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, management, and external agencies, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
      • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
      • Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure seamless information flow and alignment on policies, benefits, and reporting.
      • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Payroll.
