      Job Summary

      The Marketing Account Manager manages Marketing relationships with UFCU internal clients and external partners to support UFCU’s strategic objectives. As the main point of contact for the Marketing team, the Marketing Account Manager utilizes strong communication skills to work in partnership with internal business leaders to understand their business goals, and collaborates with Marketing leadership and team to recommend appropriate marketing initiatives. This role coordinates the Marketing process and enlists the resources needed to develop marketing initiatives from creative brief to execution.

      The Marketing Account Manager reports to the Marketing Manager.

      Essential Functions

      Client and Account Management

      • Serve as an internal consultant and business partner for product and channel managers across the organization to collaborate, develop, and implement marketing strategies to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
      • Serve as internal and external contact for all strategic activities of the account.
      • Effectively communicate with clients, and provide overall account management.
      • Build and proactively manage long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
      • Proactively identify and recommend strategic opportunities to the client to advance their business goals.

      Marketing Strategy and Operations

      • Collaborate across the team to create and execute campaign solutions that further the client’s goals while efficiently and effectively managing client and organizational resources.
      • Collaborate with Marketing and business leadership to ensure messaging, target audience, and distribution channels are optimized to meet marketing objectives.
      • Determine the type of advertising, including radio, TV, print, digital, and social, and marketing content that needs to be created and implemented.
      • Contribute to and collaborate on the content calendar and full lifecycle of marketing initiatives.
      • Collaborate with agency partners, vendors, or freelancers to bring projects to completion.
      • Oversee graphics and content to ensure alignment with UFCU’s brand.
      • Collaborate on project management for the Marketing department to ensure marketing campaigns are on schedule and within budget.
      • Effectively communicate the marketing performance, opportunities, objectives, strategy, and milestones to business leaders and key stakeholders.
      • Stay current on company offerings and industry trends.
      • Identify and recommend process improvements.

      • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
      • Completes required regulatory training as assigned.
      • Maintains strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to the role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.

      Knowledge

      • Strong project manager and problem solver.

      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs).
      • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign.

      Experience

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing. Four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
      • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project coordination and management, or marketing agency experience.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
      • Must be bondable.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Critical thinker that can adapt and deliver results in uncertain environments.
      • Knowledge of and experience with financial institutions, credit unions and/or banking industry.
      • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
      • Experience utilizing Adobe InDesign.

      • This position requires working frequently from UFCU Plaza in Austin, Texas.
      • May occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours.
      • May occasionally move from one work location/branch to another.
      • Public contact position, requiring appropriate professional appearance.
      • Frequent computer use at a workstation of up to two hours at a time.
      • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
