What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct fiscal and policy analysis to support Medicaid programs and services
- Contribute to the Medicaid cost projection and budget processes
- Develop new budget and policy initiatives for biennial budgets or legislation
- Manage relationships and coordinate information sharing with various state departments
- Track and analyze Medicaid claims, fiscal transactions, and program enrollment data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience analyzing public policy issues, proposals, or legislation
- Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting costs using Excel or similar software
- Ability to prepare analytical reports or issue papers on public policy topics
- Knowledge of the Wisconsin budgeting process
- Experience analyzing fiscal implications and recommending alternatives
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with analyzing public priorities or budget proposals related to health care initiatives
- Experience with data analysis software such as SAS, R, or Stata
