      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Analyze initial applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility for federal and state medical assistance
      - Enter household information and authorize eligibility within the Kansas Economic and Enforcement System (KEES)
      - Document eligibility decisions in the electronic case journal and communicate results to customers
      - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelines related to Kansas Medicaid eligibility programs
      - Collaborate with team members and participate in assigned training to enhance understanding of eligibility processes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma or GED equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
      - Minimum of two (2) years' experience determining Long-Term Care, Elderly and Disabled, or Family Medical eligibility
      - Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate complex software systems
      - Excellent data entry skills with a typing speed of 28-30 words per minute accurately
      - Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak and read both languages fluently

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of Medicaid and managed care programs
      - Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
      - Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
      - Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
      - Completion of KDHE Eligibility Training and sandboxing
