What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR
- Assist medical staff with patient examinations and provide necessary patient instructions
- Perform routine screening tests and blood draws as directed
- Maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring a sterile and organized environment
- Handle front office duties including patient check-in/check-out and electronic scheduling
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire
- Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Phlebotomy and lab experience
- Experience working in a front office within a Primary Care setting
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations
