What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with treatments ordered by providers, supervised by registered nurses or licensed practical nurses
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones and maintaining records
- Assist with materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- Graduate from a medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification (Wisconsin ONLY)
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including constant standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs
