What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with direct patient care procedures such as lab tracking, obtaining patient histories and vital signs, and preparing charts
- Perform routine specialized procedures, including EKGs, rapid strep tests, and nebulizer treatments
- Administer injections, including vaccines and medications, to patients
- Educate and advise patients on specified medical issues within established parameters
- Maintain stock levels for medicines and medical supplies, and monitor vaccine refrigeration temperatures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support Certification required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Completion of a medical assistant certification preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care
- Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality laws
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
