What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Make outbound welcome calls to members to educate them on health plan utilization
- Respond to inbound service calls, providing accurate information to members' inquiries and complaints
- Encourage members to participate in preventive health activities and schedule necessary examinations
- Act as a liaison between members, providers, and community resources to facilitate care
- Maintain documentation of calls and member interactions in compliance with departmental policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of customer service experience or telephone sales, preferably in a Managed Care environment
- Knowledge of Medicaid programs and NJ FamilyCare program
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in presentation and public speaking
- Familiarity with Horizon NJ Health products and services
- Proficiency in personal computers and related software
